The Ww Doula Basic Package
$200-800 sliding scale How I Set My Fees
If I have the privilege of being your doula during your baby’s birth, this is the foundation of services you will receive from me:
Two to Four Prenatal Visits (your choice)
These visits are not at all clinical; I wish to sit with you and listen, asking questions and offering advice when you want it. These meetings are meant to let you and your partner discuss your desires and any negative emotions concerning birth and parenthood, your plans for the birth and immediately afterward, how you plan on transitioning to life at home with your new baby and more. I am also able to help you create your birth plan.
Phone and Email Support
From the moment you secure me as your doula, you will be able to contact me about anything regarding pregnancy, birth, parenthood, you name it. This support extends to the two weeks after your birth. I will respond to emails and return your calls within 24 hours.
On-call 24/7
As your doula, I am officially on-call beginning two weeks before your estimated due date. During this on-call period, you may contact me at any time if you think you may be in labor or if other issues arise. I want you to feel comfortable calling me even if you are not sure if you are in labor or not. I wish to be a touchpoint during this time of uncertainty, and I also appreciate the heads-up even if it turns out to be a “false alarm” so that I can prepare my home for my absence.
Continuous support during labor
This begins when you feel that you need me. I will meet you at the hospital or at your home to help you labor as long as you wish before transferring to the hospital, and stay with you for an hour or more after the birth. When I am with you, I am with you completely; If you want a massage or simply want me to stand back for a while that is what I’ll do. I am continuously adding to my skill base of comfort techniques to help you, but another important aspect of my job is connecting with you and being emotionally available. I strive to provide what you need, when you need it.
One Postpartum Visit
At our last meeting before the birth we will schedule a postpartum visit. I would love to come see you and your family and talk about your experience of your baby's birth. I hope to answer any questions you may have during this transition of being home with your new baby and the many details you will navigate. I also hope to receive feedback from you about my services; how I was helpful and your recommendations for how I may improve.
For additional postpartum support, I offer babymoon care for as long as you want it.
